About Kelly

I’m Kelly Scott. I’m an artist, writer, traveler, lifelong learner and inveterately curious person.

After 40+ years in consulting, I retired from McKinsey, ready to thrive in whatever came next.

​

These days, I make art. I travel. I read. I take classes. I visit museums. I go down rabbit holes. I find interesting things and then want to know more.

​

I work in acrylic, watercolor, gouache, printmaking, collage and mixed media. I paint things that catch my eye, from everyday objects and familiar places to subjects I discover while traveling or wandering down one of those rabbit holes.

I’m the founder of Artful Traveler, where I teach fundamental skills, encourage creative experimentation and offer destination-inspired art lessons. 

​

I also publish Meet., where I write about art, books, life, museums, travel, food, history, design and whatever else I find too intriguing to ignore. It’s a place for curious people who want to make things, go places, experience something new and learn something they didn’t know yesterday.​​​​​​​
